Workshop by Dr. Tushar Guha

Christ Church School (Int.) – IGCSE, Byculla held a workshop on effective parenting, led by Dr. Tushar  Guha, a renowned child psychologist and author of several books on child development.

The workshop, titled “Effective Parenting – A Cautious Care,” aimed to equip parents with effective parenting techniques and strategies to promote positive behavior and mental health in their children. The workshop was attended by a large number of parents, who were eager to learn more about how to provide the best care for their children.

Dr. Guha began the workshop by emphasizing the importance of nurturing a child’s emotional well-being. He discussed the impact of early childhood experiences on a child’s long-term development, and emphasized the need for parents to be responsive, attentive, and supportive towards their children.

Throughout the workshop, Dr. Guha provided practical tips and strategies on how parents can build strong relationships with their children, set boundaries, and promote positive behaviour. He also emphasized the importance of communication, and provided guidance on how parents can effectively communicate with their children, especially during challenging situations.

The workshop was well-received by the parents who attended, with many expressing their appreciation for Dr. Guha’s practical and insightful advice. One parent commented, “I learned so much today about how to be a better parent. Dr. Guha’s advice was really practical and easy to implement.”

The workshop was part of Christ Church School’s ongoing efforts to support parents in their role as primary caregivers. As the school’s principal, Mr Ferdinand Bunyan , noted, “We are committed to providing our parents with the resources they need to raise healthy and happy children. The ‘Effecti8ve Parenting – A Cautious Care’ workshop was just one example of how we are working to support our parents in this important role.”
