Morning Assembly 27.04.2022

Introduction:

Good Morning School. Today’s assembly will be presented by class 9B.

The Scripture Portion will be read by Urav Gala

The Story will be narrated by Vivaan Surana

The Thought for the day will be given by Dhriti Rathod

The Prayer and the headlines for the day will be read by Saransh Jain

The reading is taken from the book of Proverbs Chapter – 3 verse -13:

Happy is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gets understanding.

The Black Dot

One day, a professor asked his students to prepare for a surprise test. He gave them a white paper which had no questions but just a black dot in the center. Then he asked the students to write about what they could see there. The students tried their best to write whatever they could think of. At the end of the class, the professor collected all the papers, and started reading each one of them. All of them, with no exception, defined the black dot. However, no one wrote about the white part of the paper. Everyone focused on the black dot – the same thing happens in our lives.

We insist on focusing only on the black dot – the health issues that bother us, the disappointment with a friend, the failures in our lives etc. The dark spots are very small when compared to everything we have in our lives. Take your eyes off from the black dots in your lives. Enjoy each one of your blessings, each moment that life gives you. Be happy and live a life filled with happiness.

Thought for the day

 ‘Happiness depends upon ourselves.’

Prayer

Dear Lord,

I pray for happiness. I pray that I have a cheerful heart. I pray that others are drawn to my happy smile, my positive attitude, and my face that shines with joy.
Dear God, I know that you have created me and everyone else to be happy, to find joy and laughter in the different stages and experiences of life. Amen.

Let us join our hands as Saransh leads us in the Lord’s Prayer

Our Father …………
